MANNGALAM editorial guide · Updated 8 October 2026

Start with the day

A birth number uses only the day of the month. A person born on the 24th adds 2 + 4 to get 6. The month and year do not enter this calculation. Our homepage creates a downloadable card using this method.

Now use the full date

A life-path calculation uses the entire date. For 24 June 1990, add 2 + 4 + 0 + 6 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 31, then 3 + 1 = 4. That date therefore produces birth number 6 and life-path number 4 in our single-digit convention. They answer different numerology questions.

Check the method before comparing results

Some practitioners retain 11, 22 or 33 as master numbers. Our free life-path activity reduces every total to 1–9 and displays the working. A different convention can explain a different answer. These are traditional interpretations for reflection, not evidence of future events.
