Baby naming: Rashi, Nakshatra & numerology

Organise your family’s naming preferences, understand the free name-number activity and prepare questions for a personalised baby-naming consultation.

Begin with family preferences

Write down the languages and scripts you use, the surname, meanings you like and any names already on your shortlist. Include how the name should be pronounced and whether you want the same spelling across documents. These preferences help keep the discussion personal and practical.

Ask how birth details will be used

Our baby-naming service discusses Rashi, Nakshatra, birth-chart and numerology traditions. Ask the practitioner which method will be used, what birth details are needed and how an uncertain birth time affects the discussion. Share the child’s details privately after the consultation scope is agreed.

What the free name-number tool calculates

The activity uses English letters A–Z in a repeating 1–9 sequence, adds their values and reduces the total to one digit. For RIYA, the working is R = 9, I = 9, Y = 7 and A = 1: 26 becomes 8. This example explains the calculation; it does not select a suitable baby name, calculate Nakshatra or replace a birth-chart consultation.

Compare the complete shortlist

Ask about meanings, pronunciation, proposed spellings and the explanation behind each option. Confirm whether a written shortlist or follow-up is included, as well as the fee and delivery time. Keep the final choice connected to your family’s preferences rather than expecting a spelling to guarantee future outcomes.
